Aruba Palm Beach High-Rise Hotels and Resorts

Aruba’s High-Rise Hotels and Resorts are located on Palm Beach. Palm Beach is one of Aruba’s most fun fun beaches.  The soft powder white sand feels like heaven on your feet, and the water is clear with a comfortable surf.  You can learn more about Aruba’s high-rise hotels on Palm Beach here. Aruba’s high-rise hotel area is popular with families, honeymooners, retirees and spring breakers.  During Spring Break in Aruba things really heat up here.  There are many Aruba bars and restaurants nearby.  There are many Aruba water sports that are accessible from Palm Beach, such as kayaking, snorkeling, sailing, diving and windsurfing.  But don’t think for a second that Palm Beach is all about the party kids.  There are many fine resorts and hotels that offer a world-class Caribbean vacation experience.  Aruba’s Palm Beach high-rise hotel and resort area is somehow fun, active, relaxing and romantic all in one place.  It depends on the exact location and time-of-day…but you are sure to find what fits your mood along Aruba’s Palm Beach high-rise hotel and resort area.

Aruba Low-Rise Hotels and Resorts

Aruba’s Low-Rise Hotels and Resorts are located on Eagle Beach, Manchebo Beach (Punta Brabo) and Druif Beach. Eagle Beach has been rated one of the best beaches in the world; it has clean, clear water, a comfortable surf and soft white powder sand.  You can view them on a map of Aruba’s low-rise hotels here. Aruba’s low-rise hotel area is popular with families, honeymooners and retirees. You will notice a difference in the demographics based on the time of year. For example, you’ll see more “snowbirds” (retirees) in January and February, and more spring breakers (not necessarily the crazy type) in March and April, and more families during the summer vacation months of Jun and July. Aruba’s low-rise hotel area is more relaxed than the high-rise hotel area. It is also closer to Oranjestad (downtown), which may be convenient if you spend much time there. There are also many Aruba time-share condos in the low-rise area.

Here is a list of some of the low-rise hotels and resorts in Aruba:

  • Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort Aruba
  • La Cabana Beach Resort — Studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom suites. Mostly timeshares, which can be rented
  • The Aruban Resort & Casino — newly renovated.
  • Aruba Beach Club
  • Casa Del Mar Beach Resort
  • Divi Aruba Resort - Very nice, all-inclusive
  • Tamarijn Aruba Beach Resort

Aruba Shopping - Jewelry, Aloe and more

Aruba is a great place to shop for gifts, among other activities. Whether you are on the island for more than week on vacation, or are stopping into Oranjestad on a Caribbean cruise visit, you will find plenty of nice things to buy.  There are many shops in the downtown area (Oranjestad) where the cruise ships port.  There are also shops in and around the hotels.  Oranjestad and Palm Beach are a couple great places for shopping in Aruba.  Aruba’s downtown stores and boutiques have many luxury items at affordable prices, such as gold jewelry, gems, electronics, watches, clothing and more.  Throughout Aruba island you will also find various local hand-made crafts and skin care products.  Aruba is well-known for its aloe; it produces a ton of it…and when on a beach vacation, aloe is a gift you can use right away :-)  Here is a page with a video on Aruba’s shopping.
