Aruba is located 17 miles north of Venezuela’s coast and is southeast of the Virgin Islands.  It is one of the “ABC Islands” in the Caribbean Sea and is 75 square miles. Aruba is within the Kingdom of the Netherlands like Bonaire and Curacao, but unlike them, it is not part of the Netherlands Antilles anymore (it became its own country within the kingdom in 1986).  Aruba is west of Bonaire and Curacao.  It is, fortunately for residents and tourists, located outside the hurricane belt.  The weather is beautify almost all the time because of Aruba’s location and the comfortable winds that pass over its coast.
